In 1946, the Institute of Mechanics and Aeronautics of Poitiers (IMAP) welcomed the first students who became, two years later, the first ENSMA engineers. Indeed, on January 16, 1947 the decree specifying the creation of Ecoles Nationales Sup\u00e9rieures d\u2019Ing\u00e9nieurs (ENSI), graduate engineering schools, was published in the Bulletin Officiel.

On March 27, 1948, 6 schools were chosen, located in Grenoble, Toulouse, Nancy, Nantes, Paris and Poitiers. In October 1941, anticipating the future, Henri Poncin selected a twenty-student class under the aegis of what would become ENSMA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In 1984, the law on higher education and the ENSIs\u2019 statutes was passed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/strong>In 1986 ENSMA acquired the status of administrative public body, according to the #86-640 decree of March 14, 1986 defining the operation and organization rules of some engineering schools linked to a public scientific, cultural and professional higher education school (University of Poitiers).<\/p>\n

In 2011, ENSMA adopted the ISAE brand and became known as ISAE-ENSMA. Indeed, the Higher Institute of Aeronautics and Space took the initiative to decline its brand towards French schools respecting a common charter of values \u200b\u200band sharing collective development projects.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In 2017, the ISAE-ENSMA becomes a public scientific, cultural and professional institution (EPSCP) among “non-university institutes and schools”. It thus crosses the last stage in autonomy, after the “RCE” in 2013.<\/p>\n

L\u2019IMAP accueille en 1946<\/strong> ses premiers \u00e9tudiants qui devinrent deux ans plus tard les premiers ing\u00e9nieurs ENSMA. En effet, le 16 janvier 1947 parut au Journal Officiel le d\u00e9cret instituant les Ecoles Nationales Sup\u00e9rieures d\u2019Ing\u00e9nieurs.<\/p>

Le 27 mars 1948<\/strong>, les 6 premi\u00e8res \u00e9lues furent : Grenoble, Toulouse, Nancy, Nantes, Chimie de Paris et Poitiers. Anticipant sur l\u2019avenir, Henri Poncin avait recrut\u00e9, d\u00e8s octobre 1947, une promotion de vingt \u00e9tudiants sous l\u2019\u00e9gide de la future ENSMA.<\/p>

1984 :<\/strong> Loi sur l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur et statut des ENSI.<\/p>

L\u2019ENSMA obtint en 1986 le statut d\u2019\u00e9tablissement public \u00e0 caract\u00e8re administratif (EPA), selon d\u00e9cret n\u00b086-640 du 14 mars 1986 fixant les r\u00e8gles d\u2019organisation et de fonctionnement de certaines \u00e9coles d\u2019ing\u00e9nieurs rattach\u00e9es \u00e0 un \u00e9tablissement public \u00e0 caract\u00e8re scientifique, culturel et professionnel (Universit\u00e9 de Poitiers).<\/p>

En 2011, l\u2019ENSMA a adopt\u00e9 la marque ISAE et a pris le nom d\u2019usage ISAE-ENSMA. En effet, l\u2019Institut Sup\u00e9rieur de l'A\u00e9ronautique et de l'Espace a pris l\u2019initiative de d\u00e9cliner sa marque vers des \u00e9coles fran\u00e7aises respectant une charte commune de valeurs et partageant des projets collectifs de d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>

En 2017, l\u2019ISAE-ENSMA devient un \u00e9tablissement public \u00e0 caract\u00e8re scientifique, culturel et professionnel (EPSCP) parmi les \u00ab\u00a0instituts et les \u00e9coles ne faisant pas partie des universit\u00e9s \u00bb.
