ISAE-ENSMA engineers have advanced knowledge in mechanics and energetics, with emphasis on:
– aerodynamics and fluid mechanics, heat transfer, energetics (combustion and detonics) ;
– structure and materials ;
– computer science (programming and systems design). <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The first two years of studies are dedicated to a core training both in science (mathematics and physics) and in the engineering sciences mentioned above. The third and final year of studies is devoted to gaining practical experience though a 3 to 4-month internship in industry and to acquiring advanced skills in one of the three specific areas previously delineated.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In line with ISAE-ENSMA\u2019s domains of expertise, ISAE-ENSMA engineers pursue careers in priority in the aeronautical and aerospace industries (more than 50% of a class), the car industry, energies and environment sector, defense and security field. Software companies, the machine tool and metallurgy sectors and to a lesser extent banks and insurance companies also recruit ISAE-ENSMA engineers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

At the beginning of their careers, more than 80% of ISAE-ENSMA engineers work in engineering design or, research and development. They may also work in a production department, and less than 3% as sales engineers.<\/p>\n

Accordingly, over 60% of ISAE-ENSMA graduates work for major companies (employing over 500 staff). They are mainly recruited by large national and international companies (Airbus Group, Safran, Dassault Aviation, ArianeGroup, CNES, Thales, MBDA, Renault, Stellantis, EDF, Framatome, etc.) or by associated service providers (Altran, Sogeti High Tech, etc.).<\/p>\n

Le choix du secteur a\u00e9ronautique\/a\u00e9rospatial est majoritaire, \u00e0 l\u2019image du souhait initial des \u00e9l\u00e8ves qui int\u00e8grent l\u2019ENSMA. En effet, l\u2019implantation de nos dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s est forte dans les industries de l\u2019a\u00e9ronautique et de l\u2019espace (60%), cependant le caract\u00e8re \u00e9tendu de la formation leur ouvre aussi d\u2019autres secteurs comme la m\u00e9canique et les transports terrestres (25%) , l\u2019\u00e9nergie (10%) et l\u2019informatique industrielle.\"graph-02\"

Nature du travail effectu\u00e9<\/b><\/p>

Au d\u00e9but de leur carri\u00e8re, plus de 80% des ing\u00e9nieurs ENSMA ont des activit\u00e9s type bureaux d\u2019\u00e9tudes, recherche et d\u00e9veloppement, pour lesquels ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 essentiellement form\u00e9s. Ils sont 6% en moyenne \u00e0 travailler en production, et un peu moins de 3% dans le domaine technico-commercial.<\/p>

Les dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s de l\u2019ENSMA sont recrut\u00e9s pour l\u2019essentiel dans les grands groupes nationaux et internationaux (EADS, SAFRAN, Airbus, Dassault, Renault, THALES, PSA, FRAMATOME, etc.) ou encore dans les entreprises prestataires de services qui leur sont associ\u00e9es (ALTRAN, Safran Engineering Services, Sogeti High Tech, etc.).<\/p>
