On January 1, 2022, the school has 141 permanent staff. This corresponds to 49 teacher-researchers from ISAE-ENSMA, 29 from the University of Poitiers, 18 CNRS researchers, and 45 technical staff (27 ISAE-ENSMA and 18 CNRS) assigned to the laboratories. If we add PhD students (104) and contract staff (7), the total number of employees exceeds 250. Approximately half of the researchers and teacher-researchers at ISAE-ENSMA hold the \u201cHabilitation \u00e0 Diriger les Recherches\u201d (Habilitation to Supervise Research).<\/p>\n<p>Technical and administrative staff have a dual teaching and research mission within the school. The technical staff work on both experimental research facilities and practical work set-ups. Primarily linked to the Engineering Sciences sectors &#8211; especially for activities developed at the school &#8211; it is positioned as a European-level research center of excellence for transport, energy and the environment, on areas of expertise in mechanics (solids and fluids), materials and energy. A recognized French cluster in the field of engineering sciences, it gathers 632 people (as of 1\/06\/2023), including 306 permanent staff (169 teacher-researchers, 33 CNRS researchers, 104 ITA and BIATSS), 3 associate professor-researchers (PAST\/CDD), 221 doctoral and post-doctoral students, 22 contract technical staff and 80 interns.<\/p>\n<p>Covering an area of 38,000 m\u00b2 &#8211; of which 21,000 m\u00b2 for the University of Poitiers and 17,000 m\u00b2 for ISAE-ENSMA &#8211; the Institute is organized into 3 departments: Physics and Mechanics of Materials (PMM); Fluid, Thermal and Combustion (FTC); Mechanical Engineering and Complex Systems (GMSC).<\/p>\n<p>ISAE-ENSMA is particularly involved in Department PMM (damage and durability of metallic materials and composites) and Department FTC (aerodynamics, turbulence, control, optimization of flows and exchanges, convection and coupled transfers, thermal systems, turbulent and heterogeneous combustion, propulsion, detonation). It has a staff of 93 (as at 1\/06\/2023), including 38 teacher-researchers and 30 PhD students. The laboratory is located on two sites, with roughly equivalent staff numbers: Poitiers (ENSIP) and Futuroscope (ISAE-ENSMA). The unit draws on complementary skills in computer science and automatic control, with applications in the ICST fields of engineering, transport, energy and the environment. It is organized around three themes: Data and Model Engineering; Real-time Embedded Systems; Automation and Systems.<\/p>\n<p>ISAE-ENSMA is particularly involved in the first two areas (database integration and optimization, modeling of complex systems, scheduling, design and dimensioning of real-time systems), with specific applications in the fields of transport, energy and the environment. On notera en particulier :<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">EDF, SAFRAN (Snecma, Turbom\u00e9ca, Messier-Bugatti...), Renault, PSA, Airbus Group, Ariane Group, CNES, Alstom, Dassault Aviation, Heuliez, Chantiers de l\u2019Atlantique, Framatome, Total, CEA, VALEO, St Gobain, SAGEM, IBM, Norton, SNPE, UNIRFE, GIAT industrie, Vetrotex, VALTTEC, IFP, Dornier, Jeumont, Philips, RATP, SNCF, Bonnet-Neve, Essilor, Auxitrol, Arc\u00e9lor, NOVELEC, ORGASYNTH, CETIM, IBM, ATOFINA\u2026<\/p><p><strong>Laboratoire <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lias-lab.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LIAS<\/a><\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le Laboratoire LIAS (Laboratoire d'Informatique et d'Automatique pour les Syst\u00e8mes, EA 6315) a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 le 1er janvier 2012, suite \u00e0 la fusion des laboratoires du LAII (Laboratoire d'Automatique et d'Informatique Industrielle) et du LISI (Laboratoire d'Informatique Scientifique et Industrielle).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le LIAS repr\u00e9sente 35 enseignants chercheurs issus des sections CNU 27, 61 et 63 dans les disciplines de l\u2019Automatique, du G\u00e9nie \u00e9lectrique et de l\u2019Informatique.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bien qu'ancr\u00e9 dans la communaut\u00e9 STIC pour les aspects fondamentaux, le LIAS, par ses applications, est naturellement ouvert au secteur SPI. MIRES - Math\u00e9matiques & leurs interactions, Images & information num\u00e9rique, REseaux & S\u00e9curit\u00e9 - est une f\u00e9d\u00e9ration de laboratoires du PRES Limousin-Poitou-Charentes dont le LIAS est membre et partenaire.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le laboratoire entretient de nombreuses collaborations, nationales et internationales, avec le milieu industriel.
